About Ashley

I know you didn’t expect the first weeks and months with your baby to be so difficult. And you certainly didn’t expect it to be so hard to feed your baby. I struggled with similar issues with my babies and was disappointed with how long it took to get answers and support.

I made it my mission to change this story of frustration for fellow moms in the Genesee County area. This led me to complete training in the Tummy Time! Method. This is an innovative approach to addressing the nervous system and motor components of infant feeding and tongue-tie challenges.

Whether you need non-judgmental information, feeding support, or oral motor exercises, I am here as your personal infant feeding specialist and tongue-tie rehab guru. I combine my knowledge of sensory processing, breastfeeding, and oral-motor rehab to offer you peace of mind and better results for your baby’s tongue-tie and feeding journey.

About Nourishing Development

Nourishing Development is a private occupational therapy practice in Genesee County specializing in tongue-tie rehab, breastfeeding support, and infant development.
If you’re navigating a tongue-tie release for a baby who struggles to eat or sleep, you’re in the right place for support before and after a tongue-tie release. Together we’ll come up with a plan to address feeding, movement, and bonding so that you have a happier baby who eats, sleeps, and loves hanging out with mom.

I offer in-home sessions and baby classes that help pre-crawling infants build skills for feeding, bonding, and motor development.

I am on a mission to transform the feeding experience for moms and their infants in the Genesee County area. I provide expert guidance and innovative strategies for tongue-tie issues so that mom and baby joyfully thrive in their feeding journey.

Mission

Core Values

Transparency

You shouldn’t have roadblocks to get the information you need during the important first few months with your baby. I’m upfront with what I’m seeing, my area of expertise, and my recommendations

Parent empowerment

You know yourself and your baby. I trust your observations, concerns, reasons, feelings, and decisions. My goal is for you to feel fully informed and confident about how to help your baby.

Human connection

This is not a rushed, impersonal experience. I carve out the time needed to connect and understand you and your baby. With an emphasis on patience and calm, sessions feature minimal tears for maximum bonding, learning, and progress.

Collaboration

Great care for babies happens when people work well together. So let’s build the team around the baby that includes parents and professionals! This means we strive for clear communication, shared resources, and strong referral partnerships.

Don’t get lost in the healthcare shuffle. Invest in getting answers quickly from a professional who can show you how to address the strength and coordination your baby needs to suck for feeding and soothing.
